Giant Eagle became the first contributor of items today for our Christmas Day Assignment. We're putting together gift bags for Columbus Division of Police officers to hand out to citizens they see on Christmas Day. So far, we've had six precincts opt in, as well as K-9. Our K-9 officer asked that all of his gift bags be suitable for homeless people, so Giant Eagle gave us items we can put in his bags: things like hand warmers, toothpaste, snacks, soap, etc.
As you can see, this is shaping up to be a really sweet project. If you're connected to a business that wants to be involved, please message us. You don't have to sponsor all the bags; anything helps!
