We want to give a major Starfish shout out to Angie Denune. Angie contacted us during the height of the holiday season, asking what she could do to pitch in. We mentioned to her that Columbus Division of Police Officers Heidi Graber and Aaron Neal had come to us asking for socks, underwear, and bras for kids in their patrol area of the South Side.
With an overview of what the officers needed, Angie took to the project with amazing skill and a ton of enthusiasm. She set up a comprehensive Amazon Wish List and managed the shipment and storage for us during the busiest time of the year.
She was able to have a jaw-dropping 100 packages of bras, underwear, and socks donated (that's packages, not individual items!). We also received $160 in donations that we can use to purchase items in the future or to buy items that aren't included in the donated sizes.
A huge thank you to Angie, her husband Dominic (pictured along with Ofcs Neal & Graber and 13 Pct Community Liaison Officer Tim Mounts), and all the donors for making this project a huge success. 💙
