Seventy Columbus Division of Police officers are in Washington, D.C. for tomorrow's inauguration. We're proud of all of them and thrilled that two of our friends, Commander Robert Meader and Officer Ed Chung have sent us some photos.
Police officers from across the nation travel to DC every four years in support of the presidential inauguration. It may seem like this is in response to recent events, but in fact, CPD agreed to support the event well before January 6. What might seem remarkable to some, but is not at all uncommon, is that these seventy officers volunteered to go despite not knowing what they will face tomorrow.
