Columbus Police Ask for Coats for Kids

Officers in both the Hilltop and Linden have talked about seeing kids walk to school in sub-zero temperatures wearing nothing more than a hoodie and have asked Starfish to help gather some coats. The officers themselves will be handing them out, so the kids will know how much they care.

Clean, gently worn coats are great, but if you don't have any tucked away, we will happily accept donations and go shopping for new coats. This will be particularly helpful to fill in any gaps we see in sizes towards the ends of our campaign. Remember that some kids are as big as adults, so we can take adult coats as well. Shoot us a message for our mailing address, or you can send it through PayPal.

Our main drop off location is Image360 Columbus-Dublin located at 4362 Tuller Road in Dublin. They're available Monday-Friday from 8:30am-5:00pm, but contact us if you can't make it there and we'll make other arrangements.

We are looking for other businesses to be drop off sites, so let us know if your company is willing to do it. We also need volunteers to pick up coats from houses across the city.

One of our members dropped these beauties today, and we couldn't have been more excited. Please keep them coming! We'll be collecting through Sunday, November 25, with a target to get them to the children by the first week in December.
