This week we will kick off our Books and Badges reading program at East Columbus Elementary School. This program is for officers to read a book to a classroom of students, and then every child in that class gets to keep a copy of that book.
Columbus Division of Police Community Liaison Officer Tony Rogers (7 Pct, East Side) will lead this inaugural event. He and his fellow officers will read The Night Before Christmas to 96 children (four classes).
Yesterday, Officers Alex Mottinger and Daniel Snyder (11 Pct, South Central Columbus) helped us put bookplates into each of these books so the kids will always know it was a gift from their friends at Columbus Division of Police. 💙
