The guest speaker at our January meeting will be Columbus Division of Police K-9 Officer David Jones. Ofc Jones has been a supporter of Starfish since he learned of our group and allowed our president to do a ride along with him in June. You can read about that ride along here.
Ofc Jones is a very well-respected member of the Division. He is also incredibly kind. He is the officer who, when he heard about our Christmas Day project, asked if all of his bags could be for the homeless. This prompted us to make him 20 homeless-specific bags and 80 for other CPD officers.
Please join us to hear this humble and humorous officer talk about his interesting career. Alas, his K-9 partner, Ayko, has the night off and will not be joining him, but perhaps it's better that way. Ofc Jones can speak freely about him without fear of reprisals.
