We're thrilled to announce the donation of our 50,000th book through the Books & Badges program! From the day we embarked on this journey back on December 19, 2019, we have worked with our incredible law enforcement partners and community supporters to foster a love for reading among elementary students and build positive connections with the police.
At each Books & Badges event, officers get to connect not just as protectors but as storytellers and friends, giving every child a book to take home that carries a message of friendship from their law enforcement pals. These moments of sharing stories, answering the ever-popular "do you really like donuts?" question, and creating memories have helped build bridges in six states, from coast to coast.
We want to extend our deepest appreciation to every law enforcement agency, officer, deputy, volunteer, teacher, administrator, and supporter who has been a part of this incredible journey. Your dedication has helped us reach this milestone while sowing seeds of empathy, understanding, and love for reading among tens of thousands of young minds.
