Bessie Sherrod Price Preparatory Academy

What fun Columbus Division of Police officers have had over the past two days reading to children at Bessie Sherrod Price Preparatory Academy. Yesterday, Officer James Poole read to their third and fourth graders. He also let them see his police motorcycle and test out his radar.

Today, Deputy Chief Jen Knight read "Flat Stanley and the Very Big Cookie" to some delighted second graders, who also received cookies from her. Lieutenant Chris Lieb brought party hats for his reading of "If You Give a Pig a Party."

All the officers answered questions about policing and had a great time. They also autographed all the books, which is always a big hit for the kids. We love that!
