CME Federal Credit Union Donation for the South Side

Today was a wonderful day! Remember the Community Storage Locker that we learned Columbus Division of Police Officer Amanda Hoover rented at her own expense so she could stock it with items for people in need? Our friends at CME Federal Credit Union have sponsored the locker for a full year! We're so excited! Here's the original post if you missed it.

We met up with (left to right) CPD Deputy Chief and Starfish Board Member Tim Becker, CME Member Relations Officer Sallie Cerrie, Ofc Heidi Graber, Ofc Hoover, and Starfish President Nicole Banks (not pictured, CPD Information Officer Sgt James Fuqua), at 13 Precinct Substation on the South Side to present a check for the full amount of the storage fees, as well as additional money and supplies from Starfish donors.

As you can see, the locker is nearly full. Ofcs Hoover and Graber will now work on getting it organized and prioritizing what items they most want to keep in "stock."

Thanks to CME for their generosity and unwavering support of first responders, and thanks to all of you for supporting our efforts and for spreading the word about our projects. This Community Storage Locker will make a difference to a lot of people, and we really appreciate all of you coming together to help the officers on the South Side help the people they serve and protect.
