Please join us in congratulating Columbus Division of Police K-9 Officer David Jones for being selected as Officer of the Quarter. He is very humble, so awards don't settle comfortably on him. But today, some of the people who love him gathered at the K-9 office to celebrate him and listen to the beautiful nomination that Sergeant Aaron Napoli submitted.
It spoke about how patient and kind Officer Jones is. How he's always there when people need him. How he's saved people's lives and the great work he's done in the community, including with his church and Starfish. In his lengthy career, he's also been instrumental in field training many CPD officers and some of them were present today, like Deputy Chief Kelly Weiner, Commander Duane Mabry, and Officer Dee Trionfante.
It was such a fun and wonderful event, and we were honored to be included. We're even more honored to work with Officer Jones and call him a friend.
