For an astounding 38 years, the amazing Mary Lou Posey has been spreading happiness to children in need with her heartwarming Easter basket project! Mary Lou's mission? Making every child feel cherished and valued. Her delightful Easter baskets are just one of the ways she brings smiles to their faces. Hailing from Linden, she generously donates 200 fabulous Easter baskets to Starfish and sends even more straight to the Linden Community Center!
This year, these baskets are hopping their way to Columbus Division of Police, Franklin County Sheriff's Office, Franklin Township Police Department, Marion Police Department, and Madison Township Police Department. We had a blast collecting the baskets at the Posey residence, with all the agencies collaborating in a true spirit of camaraderie. Though Madison Township and Marion couldn't join the fun, we'll ensure they receive their baskets.
Delivering these baskets of joy to CPD precincts across the city is the dedicated Lieutenant Amber Rich, whom we've affectionately dubbed "Easter Claus"! While her night shift duties kept her away today, she's excited to drop off the baskets under the cover of darkness for officers to share with the community.
