Today kicks off the first day of our 2021 Columbus Division of Police/AEP Ohio Coat Drive and we're so excited! CPD officers will be distributing coats to over 400 pre-selected children throughout the city, some they've met on patrol, some identified by our partners at Columbus Recreation and Parks Department.
We wanted to give a huge shout-out to the 614 Cadets and their leaders for sorting all these coats for us (for the third year!). Everyone who meets the 614 Cadets loves them. They're so hardworking and fun to be around. We are very grateful to work with them.
Our premier sponsor, AEP Ohio, not only donated the funds again this year, but they donated cute little squishy basketballs that are now in the pockets of all these Macy's coats. Yep, Macy's! The kids who receive these are really going to love them.
As we said, we are excited!
