Here at Starfish, we're very lucky to know some of the wonderful Columbus Division of Police K-9 officers. In fact, in the summer of 2019, our president, Nicole Banks, even got to do a ride-along with one of them, Officer David Jones, and his partner, K-9 Ayko. That day, she also met Officer John Kifer and K-9 Carr, as well as K-9 Elvis (who, truth be told, was not overly thrilled to meet her).
Officers Kifer and Jones have been huge supporters of Starfish ever since then, reading to children at Books & Badges--Officer Jones even read at the very first Books & Badges event ever--and participating in events such as Cops & Barbers, where, as you can see, K-9 Carr is always up for lots of pets.
They also introduced us to our new friends, Officer James Shockey and K-9 Falco, who is a bomb dog recently added by the Division.
We're grateful to know all of them and thankful for their support. We appreciate the protection they provide to all of us. 💙
