We are thrilled to announce that our Books & Badges program will not be put on hiatus by COVID-19. We've worked with Columbus Division of Police to develop an online event, expected to be the first of many, that will allow kids to tune in on Facebook Live and enjoy a story from a CPD officer. One lucky kiddo will even win an autographed copy of the book the officer reads.
Our first reading will be on Monday, March 23 at noon with CPD's Public Information Officer, Sgt James Fuqua. Kids across the world can now see what great officers we have here in Columbus by joining us on their Facebook page. Please share!
What fun for kids who are at home during this period of quarantine. If they really love the story, they can watch the video multiple times. If noon is during nap or lunchtime, they'll be able to play it later. But we suspect if they do watch it live, Sgt Fuqua will answer questions, just like at our regular Books & Badges events.
