Join us on the Columbus Division of Police Facebook page for a Virtual Books & Badges reading with Sergeant Christopher Smith-Hughes on Friday, May 15 at noon. Sgt Smith-Hughes participated in the first-ever Books & Badges reading on December 19, 2019, and he has been a big supporter of Starfish Assignment since he first learned of us in 2018.
A 14-year veteran of the department, Sgt Smith-Hughes is the Sergeant for the CPD Recruiting Unit. He has held jobs in Patrol and Patrol Administration. He was born and raised in Columbus, is married, and has two children (who helped him pick out the book he's going to read, Dino-Soccer). He loves sports, reading, video games, and helping others wherever he can, something we've definitely found to be true--we've asked him for help several times, and he's always come through for us!
