Welcome, Cottage Grove Police Department!

We’re thrilled to welcome Cottage Grove Police Department to the Starfish family! (Our first Oregon agency!)🎉

Cottage Grove is committed to fostering strong connections with their community, regularly engaging through National Night Out, Shop With A Cop, Kindness Assemblies, and preschool visits. Now, with Books & Badges, they’re excited to bring officers into elementary schools to build additional positive relationships with the youngest members of their community.

Cottage Grove said, "We know this program will be a great addition to what we already do, helping us strengthen our connections with the youngest members of our community."

Through Books & Badges, officers visit schools to read to children, giving each child a copy of the book to take home—a simple yet meaningful way to encourage literacy and connection—and we’re so excited to see the impact they will make! Welcome to the team!
