Welcome, Officer Dan Snyder!

We’re excited to share that Columbus Division of Police Officer Dan Snyder has joined the Starfish Advisory Board.

Officer Snyder joined CPD in July 2012 and has spent most of his career patrolling 11 Precinct (South Central Columbus). He is also part of the Defensive Tactics Unit, where he assists with Use of Force, Active Shooter Response, Bicycle Riot Response Team, and other trainings.

He has supported Starfish since 2019, volunteering at many of our initiatives, including Cops & Gobblers and our coat drives, even while on vacation. He also had the idea to launch the door security bar program that has protected crime victims and saved at least one life.

In his new role, Officer Snyder will focus on speaking to officers about Starfish and working to keep substations stocked with door bars. We’re very grateful to have him join our leadership team.
