To say that 13 Precinct Columbus Division of Police Officer Amanda Hoover is devoted to the South Side area she serves is an understatement. She pays $50 a month to rent a storage unit where she and her fellow officers can store things like socks, underwear, hygiene products, diapers, and non-perishable foods. These items are often needed by the people the officers encounter in the course of their duties, so instead of making runs to Walmart, Ofc Hoover put them in a location easily accessible to the officers. She shared the code with them, and they can run there and grab whatever they need, regardless of whether she's on duty or not. 💙
