ASSIGNMENT: Donate antibacterial wipes, hand sanitizer, and new thermometers for our friends at Columbus Division of Police.
Here's your chance to take care of the officers that take care of us. We've had numerous reports from our CPD friends that there is a shortage of antibacterial wipes, thermometers, and hand sanitizer, and we'd like to help them out.
Every day, ideally before coming into work, officers need to take their temperature to make sure they're staying healthy. If we can give them personal thermometers for their homes, they can catch illnesses before they arrive at the precinct. Barring that, their leaders can use no contact thermometers when they arrive for shifts. Remember, police work, by its very nature is something that can't be done by adhering to social distancing.
Which brings us to wipes and hand sanitizer. As you can imagine, police work requires a great deal of clean up of police vehicles, wiping down surfaces, and liberal use of hand sanitizer. These items were frequently used before COVID-19 and are an absolute necessity now. Unfortunately, they're just not as readily available.

If you want to buy items and have them shipped to us, please send us an email for the address, and be aware of ship times. (For example, on Amazon the inexpensive thermometers aren't shipping until May, but the expensive, no-contact ones are shipping in 4-8 days.)
