ASSIGNMENT UPDATE: We've been asked to help a family of six after the murder of their father/husband.

Thanks to the donations of Starfish supporters, the lead detective in this case was able to take cake and presents to the family to celebrate the eldest child's birthday. The detective said the littlest children were especially thrilled to see that there were presents for them as well and that it was a happy moment for everyone involved.
Since our original post on Monday, State Representatives Allison Russo and Dontavius L. Jarrells have been working along with Pastor Adam Troy, Jasmine Ayers, and IMPACT Community Action on a number of areas, most importantly on finding a home for this family so that they do not have to return to the one where the crime took place.
