ASSIGNMENT UPDATE: We were asked to help a single mom with four children get back on her feet after suffering the loss of multiple loved ones and being out of work.
REFERRING OFFICER: Columbus Division of Police Officer Kim Hollander, 15 Precinct (Far West Side)
We worked with Officer Hollander and our good friends Sergeant Andre Tate and Officer Julien Roffey (of Bikes & Badges fame) on this Assignment. Thanks to your generosity, we were able to help Miss Deandra get caught up on multiple bills, with enough left over for groceries, gas, and other incidentals. Our friends at the Furniture Bank of Central Ohio provided her with two beds, and thanks to a donor we were able to purchase a new crib and mattress for the baby.
When Miss Deandra's son saw the bike we provided to him, he was so excited he couldn't believe it was for him.
Miss Deandra decided that we're not "Star"-fish, but "Angel"-fish and said she will pay your generosity forward in the future.
