Today marks a huge milestone--the five-year anniversary of the establishment of Starfish Assignment. When we began this journey, we held firm to the belief that we could make a difference, even if it was for only one person. Five years later, we look back on our journey and are overwhelmed and grateful to see the impact we've had.
In collaboration with Columbus Division of Police and dozens of other agencies across five states, we've worked to bring the police and the community closer together. Working with officers and deputies, we played a crucial role in providing essentials such as housing, furniture, clothing, and transportation to people in need.
We've also been instrumental in facilitating events that have fostered a stronger bond between our agencies and the communities they serve with such dedication. Our Books & Badges initiative has seen over 40,000 books donated to our partner agencies, fostering a love for learning and bonds between the children and the officers who read to them.
None of this would have been possible without the incredible individuals and organizations who've journeyed with us. Our heartfelt thanks go out to the brave law enforcement officers, our collaborative partner agencies, the unwavering supporters, generous sponsors and donors, committed volunteers, and our loving families and friends. Your belief in our mission and steadfast support have been the cornerstone of our achievements.
