Our friends at the Columbus Regional Airport Authority (CRAA) Police Department are off to a great start with Books & Badges. Sergeant Jonathan Todhunter sent us these photos of readings he and Officer Jeff Ford did recently at the John Glenn Columbus International Airport. He said parents were so happy with the program that many asked for pictures of the officers with their children after the readings.
As we've found when officers read to kids in schools, Sgt Todhunter said the children at the airport were thrilled to have their books autographed by the officers who read to them. We love the idea of them heading off to their destinations with those newly autographed books in their bags and happy memories of officers reading to them at CMH.
