Lieutenant Six, Marion Police Department's longest-serving K-9 retired today at the age of 11, and what a send-off it was! Departments from all over Central Ohio came to participate in a parade through Marion, including at least three more of our partner agencies, Columbus Division of Police, Hilliard Division of Police, and The Ohio State University Police Division, followed by a big party.
We were lucky to get some photos of K9 Six and his partner, Lieutenant Mark Elliott, before the parade started because once the party began it was tough to get close to them. Through it all, Six happily posed, accepted hugs, and smiled. What a joyous celebration of all the great work Six has done for Marion!
